PLANK STEAK BAKED CARP Recipe for Common Carp

Title: PLANK STEAK BAKED CARP

Prep Time: MAY TAKE SOME TIME!
Cook Time: 40 MINUTES
Ingredients: 1 FRESHWATER CARP, NOT TO EXCEED 12"
1 STEAK PLANK TO FIT SIZE OF CARP(ABOUT 14" X 6"
THE PLANK SHOULD BE SOUTHERN YELLOW PINE AND THE FRESHER THE BETTER.
LEMON JUICE
SALT
BUTTER
Directions: PLANK SHOULD BE SCRUBBED DOWN HEAVILY WITH ROCK SALT AND THOROUGHLY WASHED DOWN WITH CLEAN WATER.
SPRINKLE PLANK LIBERALY WITH LEMON JUICE AND LIGHTLY SALT IT.
CLEAN THE CARP AS YOU WOULD ANY FISH.
PLACE CARP ON THE PLANK AND RUB UPPER SIDE WITH BUTTER. ALSO RUB INSIDE WITH BUTTER.
LIGHTLY SALT TOP AND INSIDE OF CARP.
SPRINKLE INSIDE AND OUT WITH LEMON JUICE.
SET OVEN TO 350 DEGREES.
BAKE CARP 20 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM OVEN.
TURN CARP OVER, AND USE SALT, BUTTER AND LEMON JUICE AS BEFORE.
BAKE 20 MORE MINUTES.
REMOVE FROM OVEN AND LET COOL FOR AT LEAST 15 MINUTES.

REMOVE CARP FROM THE PLANK.
THROW CARP IN THE GARBAGE CAN.
EAT THE PLANK, IT TASTES BETTER.
Other Notes: I HAVE EATEN CARP. I PREFER THE PLANK.
